Tabernacle Baptist Church has been ministering to the Orlando community for forty-five years. We are thankful for the Lord's blessing on our ministry and His continued guidance for years to come.
Baby Shower for Melissa Wheeler ~ November 5, 2011
Celebrating the new addition to our church family, the ladies of TBC gave a baby shower in honor of Melissa Wheeler.
Junior's Cornmaze ~ November 12, 2011
Our Juniors ventured to Zellwood, FL for a morning of finding their way through a cornmaze. Thankfully, we all found our way out and deemed it an excellent day for an outside activity. Look at our pictures and see if you can find your way out of the maze!
Heritage Prep Alumni Reunion & Dedication of the Library ~ October 15-16, 2011
The alumni of Heritage Preparatory School gathered to spend time together and honor Mrs. Gail Nesbitt Ware. The festivities on October 15 began with a picnic at Bill Frederick Park and was followed by a banquet at Heritage. The banquet was filled with memories of HPS and testimonies of God's hand working in our Alumni's lives. Bro. Neil Hatfield gave a challenge on saturday evening during the banquet and was also our guest speaker on Sunday morning for the dedication of the Library. We had many alumni present in our sunday morning service. Also we were blessed to lead 12 people to the Lord in Salvation. Many then went to the Library where we had a time to honor and remember Mrs. Gail Nesbitt Ware and dedicte the Library in her honor. We can't wait for our next reunion!
September 18, 2011 ~ Round-Up Sunday
Each year our church enjoys being able to relax and wear our "Western Duds" to church. We spend all day together in church, eat luch together and attend another service to worship the Lord. if you haven't spent a Round-Up sunday with us, don't miss next years event. But, don't wait till next year to join us. Come make friends with some of God's people this Sunday!
September 14-16, 2011 ~ Heritage Prep Back to School Revival
School has begun again and we started of with a great beginning. HPS Back to school revival was an exciting time as the middle and high school was split in four teams for competitions. After the games the students received a special time of preaching. The result of the week were 11 students receiving Christ as their Saviour. Thank you Lord for your blessings!
September 4, 2011 ~ Ordination of Rev. Markus secrist
On September 3, 2011 a presbyter questioned Bro. Markus Secrist on his knowledge of the Scriptures. With an unanimous vote, Bro. Markus Secrist was ordained a preacher of the Gospel on September 4, 2011.
Universal Studios Florida ~ August 11, 2011
The teens spent a day at Universal Studios. We had a great time! As a last "Hoo-rah" before school starts, we had a blast.
Venture of Faith Camp: June 27 - July 1
The junior campers enjoyed a week at Venture of Faith Camp in Valdosta, GA. They enjoyed musical competetion, swimming, fishing, sports competetion, and great preaching by Bro. Tim Crumpton. Thank you to those who gave offerings so some of our bus children could attend camp. Great is you reward.
